Paleo

Created back in the 1970s by gastroenterologist Walter Voegtlin, he was the first to suggest that eating
like our Paleolithic ancestors could make modern humans healthier.
In simple terms it is all about nourishing our bodies with whole, clean, un-processed and nutrient-
dense foods, eating the way nature intended; providing a model for holistically healthy living.
Advising the avoidance of gluten, grains, legumes, low-fat pasteurized and homogenized dairy, corn,
soy and sugar. Below is a list of the recommended foods to consume.

– Grass-fed lean meat
– Organic, free-range poultry, eggs, pork
– Wild-caught fish and seafood
– Organic, locally sourced fruits and vegetables
– Nuts and Seeds
– Healthy Fat/ Oils

The above provides an evolutionary framework for the most nutritious way of eating to improve
health and well-being, minimizing risks of chronic diseases that plague the western world, so you
can easily personalise what works best for you.. I am gluten intolerant and my body doesn’t digest
dairy very well so I avoid consuming the majority of the time. This way of living helps me to stay
lean, strong and energetic and I hope you find it makes you feel the best version of you!

The Paleo ‘lifestyle’ not just a ‘diet’. Looking at the bigger picture of wellness; food, exercise and lifestyle.
